Theme Designer

The hardest part about Theme Designer is finding it on the FrontPage CD.   Because, you see, it isn't automatically installed.

Since the CD is set to automatically AutoPlay and we want a look at what else is on the CD

bullet

Choose exit when the install screen comes up

bullet

Next find your CD drive icon and 'OPEN' ... don't double click because the default is autoplay.

bullet

Next look for a folder called Sdk ... yes, that's right Sdk.   Baffled me too.

bullet

Then Themes, and finally

bullet

Designer Folder

bullet

All that remains is to double click the tdsetup.exe Icon.

When installed, it can be found on the FrontPage Explorer [Tools] menu.

themed1.gif (3985 bytes)It is possible to modify all themes shipped with FrontPage or to create a new theme from scratch.  The Open Web Themes menu option opens the themes used in the currently open FrontPage Web Site.

There is no Help in Theme Designer and no direct way to delete new or existing Themes.

Open the theme of your choice and begin by editing the properties for all theme components.

Remember there are three versions of every theme:

Active Graphics, Vivid Colors, Background Image.

From the file menu in your newly created theme use Save Theme As to save your new theme.
